Rick Borja is planning a ride to the Chalmette Battlefield.  Meet at the Shoney’s on Clearview and I-10 for 9:00.
You’ll need to park at the courthouse and take a shuttle to the site.  There is no charge.  A stop for lunch at Rocky and Carlo’s is planned.

Gulf South Annual Rider Mileage Contest End/Beginning.
The Mileage Contest is an annual Club activity.  The rules are simple.  If you turned your mileage in last February 2007, you will need to report your current odometer reading no later than the February meeting.  The mileage you turn in this year is your starting mileage for the  2008/2009 contest.  New members make sure to get your odometer mileage to an officer by the February meeting. 
 
Plaques are awarded for:

Highest Mileage Male Rider Highest Mileage Female Rider
Plaque for 1st Plaque for 1st
Plaque for 2nd Plaque for 2nd
Plaque for 3rd Plaque for 3rd
Plaque for the member whose mileage is closest to the calculated average of all participating members mileages

Holiday Travel Park, Bunnell, FL, 32110. NW corner of I-95 @ Old Dixie Hwy, Exit 278. Come enjoy Bikeweek with us and your BMW friends under the palms. Grassy, shaded, quiet camping. Minutes from all the action. B-Cubed will manage the BMW camping area and provide a coffee tent/gathering area, collectable 2008 event T-shirts, door prizes and daily 50/50 drawings. Airhead Central will be available for any required wrenching. Park facilities include on-site restaurant, clean hot showers/laundry and a swimming pool. Picnic tables and port-a-lets will be located in the BMW camping area and a limited number of RVs can be accommodated for dry camping. Join us as Askew's Landing, full facility camping with RV hookups. Friday potluck until gone. Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Field events, poker run, prizes. Come enjoy real southern hospitality. I-20, exit 19, go north then west on Askew's Ferry Road, 2.5 miles to campground. $25 registration includes camping and breakfast. Take I-10 east over the twin bridges—continue on I-10 east past Slidell toward Bay St

Louis.  Proceed to exit #13, (Bay St. Louis, Kiln, Hwy 603 / 43).  Exit to the right, go to

   the stop light and make a right turn onto Hwy. 603.  2 miles from the right turn you will

   come to a bridge.  Take the first right turn after crossing the bridge.  Then take an

  immediate left  on to Everest St .  Go straight ahead 3 blocks past Logan St. , Kilmanjaro

St. , to Elbrus St . Take a right, the camp is the blue camp second from the end of the road

  on your left.

Join The Transportation Revolution and Triumph Motorcycles for a different kind of bike night. On Thursday April 17th Republic New Orleans will be transformed into Club Triumph. Free VIP motorcycle and scooter parking will be available, and no cover with a motorcycle or scooter key.

18th Georgia Mountain Rally
BMW Owners of Georgia #23
Some of the finest and twistiest roads in the southeast make this rally a must. The beautiful North Georgia Mountain location is in close proximity to Deal’s Gap, the Cherohala Skyway, Wolf Pen Gap, Two Wheels Only (TWO), Brasstown Bald, Richard Russell Scenic Parkway, Blood Mountain (Hwy 129), Nantahala, Wyah Bald, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and much more. The rally site will once again be Bald Mountain Park Campground Resort (www.baldmountainpark.com, just outside Hiawassee, GA. Expect shady campsites, hot showers, good food, great variety of vendors and door prizes, live music, bonfires, bike show, seminars, fun and fellowship. Fee includes 2 nights camping, rally pin for the first 750, poker run, awards, door prizes, Friday and Saturday dinners, campfire, and plenty of coffee to drink. Pre-registration is $40 (postmarked by 4/1/08) or $45 at the gate. Early registration provides a chance to win the mystery door prize. Day-passes ($10 at gate) will not include food, camping, prizes, activities or awards, but will allow rally area and vendor area access. Camping before and/or after rally dates requires separate fee(s) paid directly to the campground office. At Ditto Landing, Huntsville, AL. on Hobbs Island Rd., ¼ mi. north of Tennessee River off US Hwy 231. Eat, ride, dance, sleep, repeat! 3 nights camping, BBQ Thurs., pancakes each morning, smoked chicken, all you can eat, all week all day, sides at mealtimes. Free coffee, tea, lemonade, popcorn, peanuts while volunteers hold out. Rally pin, rally gift, chicken key chain (to the first 600), 100's of Door prizes, standard rally awards, vendors, seminars, 3 nights live entertainment, all for $40 rally fee, children 6 to 12, $20, under 6 free.
